Tension-free repair. Review of 1098 cases

My colleagues and I were carrying out a lot of hernia repairs, and we had been using the tension-free method for about 5 years with excellent results. We analysed the results of our first thousand cases and had the article peer reviewed and published in the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons. A UK first, and certainly the largest UK series at that time :-
